Course requirements for candidates for certification as Director of Pupil Personnel Level I consist of an eighteen hour program of studies. Candidates may elect to complete a thirty hour program leading to Rank I. Level II certification (for certificate renewal) requires an additional nine hours of course work.
The requirements for certification include the following
(1) Three years of full time teaching experience
(2) Completion of a master�s degree in education
(3) Qualify for a Kentucky teaching certificate
(4) A completed application including an official college/university transcript(s) documenting a minimum 3.0 G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale and acceptance by the Graduate Admissions Office.
(5) The curriculum contract must be completed and approved by the Graduate Advisor, Director of Graduate Program and Registrar prior to exiting the program. For Kentucky certification the candidate must also complete a TC1 for Rank I status if they have elected to complete the thirty hour program.
